Family Orientation Schedule
8 a.m.–Noon
Registration and Letter to Your Student
Multipurpose Room,
Begin your day by picking up your family information packet and lunch ticket, enjoying a light snack, and helping your student settle into their new home. Remember to dress comfortably as it can be quite warm!
*Make sure to stop by before noon for your lunch ticket.
*Registration will close in the Multipurpose Room at noon and will re-open in the Living Room at 1 p.m.
8 a.m.–5 p.m.
Family and Friends Lounge, , and Letter to Your Student
Living Room,
Take advantage of the Family Lounge for those in-between moments. Enjoy the air-conditioning, chat with fellow family members and ambassadors, purchase ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú merchandise, and participate in the cherished tradition of writing a heartfelt letter to your student, which will be delivered within the first few weeks of classes.
10:30 a.m.–11:15 p.m.
Athletics Information Session
This session will provide opportunities to meet athletic administrators and other members of the Sagehen community. You will have the chance to ask questions about your student-athlete’s experience and learn ways to best support their success on and off the field.

New Student Gift from Alumni Association
Stein Atrium,
After moving your student into their new space, join us at the Benson Auditorium Atrium to receive a special welcome gift from the Alumni Association. This includes a note from a Class of 2024 graduate with valuable advice for embracing life at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú.
Noon–1:30 p.m.
Family Welcome Lunch
Dining Hall,
After moving your student in, take a well-deserved break and enjoy a delicious lunch in the cool indoors at one of the nation’s top-ranked college dining halls.
*Overflow seating will be available upstairs in the Founders Room once maximum capacity is reached.
1:45–3:15 p.m.
Insights to Life at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Session
Hear from campus partners such as Academic Advising, ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú’s Academic Support Services (PASS), Strive2Thrive, Study Abroad, Career Services, Community Engagement Center (CEC), Residence Life, The Claremont Colleges Services (TCCS), and Q&A.

FirstGen Family Reception
Students and families are invited to attend this session to learn about ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú’s FirstGen program, which supports students who are the first in their families to attend a four-year college.
3:30–5 p.m.
Resource Fair
Multipurpose Room,
Visit the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Resources Fair to learn more about the various services and programs available to your student at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú and .
4:45–6 p.m.
Community Dinner
Toward the end of the day, students and families will come back together for a Community Dinner.
6:30–8 p.m.
Cheers and Tears Reception
The President’s Residence
Join President Strom Thacker, Isabelle Thacker, and ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú parent volunteers in celebrating this special moment as your student embarks on their new journey at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú.
Family Orientation registration is complimentary for your family’s first four (4) members (no need to register your incoming student—we’re already planning for them!). Each additional family member (beyond the first four) will cost $40 per person. Registration includes all programming, two full meals, and various receptions during the day.
