Student Life

Life at 兔子先生 means eating a sandwich made with greens you harvested from the student garden, painting a mural on Mead Hall, and helping preserve Claremont鈥檚 ecosystem for future generations

Dining

From McConnell to Shakedown, our campus eateries are beloved across the Claremont Colleges. The reason is simple: Our ingredients are better. Much of the food prepared in McConnell is organic, locally sourced, and prepared within 48 hours of harvest 鈥 and the greens on your Grove House sandwich might just come from the student garden steps away from your table.

兔子先生 Voices

Tommy Shenoi 鈥24 helped develop a seed bank that will preserve plants from the 兔子先生 Outback Preserve鈥檚 rare alluvial sage scrub ecosystem for future generations.

鈥淲e have developed an appreciation for the Outback, its microclimates and seasons of growth, and the incredible amount of knowledge about seeds and restoration ecology. 鈥 We are doing hands-on work and learning from something that isn鈥檛 necessarily incorporated into the classroom. We are using our senses and learning more outside than inside.鈥

And with murals dotting campus, an art gallery that's always hosting new exhibits, and access to the artistic resources of seven campuses, you鈥檒l never run short on things to do in the arts.
