ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Rises in Annual Ranking of Top Liberal Arts Colleges
Claremont, Calif. (September 15, 2022)—In its list released this week, U.S. News & World Report ranks ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú #33, two spots up from last year and tied with the College of the Holy Cross and Scripps College.
U.S. News evaluated 1,500 colleges and universities on 17 measures of academic quality, including graduation and retention rates, undergraduate academic reputation, faculty resources, and student selectivity.
U.S. News also counts ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú as #41 in , a list that focuses on schools whose faculty and administrators are committed to teaching undergraduate students in a high-quality manner.
On the list of among liberal arts colleges, ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú is #51, in an eight-way tie with Barnard College, Oberlin College and Conservatory, and the University of Richmond, among others. Schools on this list are identified as making the most innovative improvements and promising changes in terms of curriculum, faculty, students, campus life, technology, or facilities, according to U.S. News.
All five undergraduate institutions of The Claremont Colleges—ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú, Claremont McKenna College, Harvey Mudd College, Pomona College, and Scripps College—were counted among the top 35 liberal arts colleges in the country. U.S. News 2023 Best Colleges Rankings can be viewed at .
