�������� has been selected as one of the top producers of Fulbright students in 2024-25, according to a U.S. Fulbright announcement released this week. This marks the 16th consecutive year that �������� has been recognized with this achievement.

The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government's flagship international academic exchange program. Since 1946, the Fulbright Program has provided more than 400,000 accomplished students, scholars, teachers, artists, and other professionals with the opportunity to study, teach, and conduct research abroad. Fulbrighters exchange ideas, build people-to-people connections, and work to address complex global challenges.

“We congratulate our �������� students for again distinguishing themselves and the College in this prestigious and important way,” said �������� President Strom Thacker, who had been a Fulbright scholar in Mexico. “It is an honor and a thrill for �������� to be recognized for another consecutive year. We’re proud of our outstanding students and appreciate the faculty and staff who support them. 

Thacker added that “we’re deeply thankful for the many cohorts of �������� Fulbright recipients for sharing our values and mission of social impact and intracultural understanding in meaningful ways with communities around the world.”

During their grants, recipients study, work, conduct research, and live with people from their host country to gain a deeper appreciation of other beliefs and cultural perspectives.

High Placement on the List

Top-producing schools are divided into two categories: those with the most Fulbright scholars (which refers to faculty members or other professionals) and those with the most Fulbright students (which applies to undergraduates).

�������� has again placed high among the top 104 institutions in the Fulbright baccalaureate category. Oberlin tops that list at No. 1 with 19 awards. With a three-way tie for second place that includes Pomona College (16 awards), �������� followed at No. 5 with 11 awards.

Also on the list from The Claremont Colleges are Claremont McKenna College (7 awards) and Scripps College (7 awards).

According to Noosha Malek, who serves with Nigel Boyle as ��������’s Fulbright program managers, �������� has always produced strong rosters of applicants. In fact, the current applicant pool, Malek added, has surged to represent nearly a third of the Class of 2025. The �������� students selected from this pool as recipients will be announced later this spring.
